So Tired of Having to Sign in to Mac Products Again and Again
Uninstall the Update Assistant. Chances are good you don't need it anyway.
The Apps sign in issue may arise from you logging into your PC with a local account rather than your Microsoft Account (many do this so they can skip the sign-in/enter pin screen when they start up their device.
IF you are using local account then you are not signed in to your Windows account and won't be able to access email, one drive. etc until you log on with your Microsoft Account.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Much appreciated.
No, I am not signed in with a local account... I am logged in with my remote Microsoft account.
Do you have any other ideas?
Thanks!
Andy.

Hi Andy
thank you for posting your query. I understand you are attempting stop office apps to ask credentials every time
-File>Account>under User Information, sign out all the existing account and exit all Office apps.
-Control Panel>User Accounts>credential manager>Windows Credentials, remove all Office 365 credentials that look like: MicrosoftOfficeXXData:XXXXXXXXX
-Right click windows icon>Run>type "regedit" then press ENTER to open the redistry editor. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity, delete the whole Identity folder
-Restart computer.
-Deleting cached files in Upload center, to do it, right click on Start menu > Search > search and Open Office Upload center> click Settings > Delete cached files.
-Change OneDrive settings. To do it, right click the OneDrive client icon > Settings > Office > "Use Office 2016 to sync office files that I open" to "unchecked" in OneDrive settings > OK.
If the issue is fixed, try to change it back to see the result.

Hi Cristhian, many thanks for your reply, but that isn't my problem. Or not exactly anyway.
The problem is that *all* Microsoft apps are asking me for credentials upon use.
*Outlook says my login credentials are "out of date" when I open it, and I have to sign in
* OneDrive and Powerpoint say I need to sign in to OneDrive again
*The Store app asks me to sign in when I use it
...and any other MS app which requires credentials does the same thing.
I assume it is something to do with my MS account....corruption possibly....
Is there any advice you can give me?
Muchisimas gracias por tu ayudo.
Andy.

You are part of the Windows Insiders Program and there's a good chance the issue is related to the current build you are using. Try posting your question to The Insiders Forum
